About the role:
This is a dynamic, creative role where you will have the chance to make a real impact and play a pivotal role in managing and growing MAG’s European institutional funding portfolio. Working within our MAG Europe team with significant engagement with our country programmes and regional teams, you will shape partnerships strategy and develop funding solutions. You will engage with senior stakeholders across EU institutions and EU member state governments, strengthening our existing partnerships and cultivating new opportunities to enable our life-saving work around the globe.
The role will involve travel in the UK, Europe and Internationally, often at short notice to attend donor meetings and programme visits approximately 15% of the time.
About you:
You will have significant demonstrable experience managing institutional funding and partnerships within international development, humanitarianism, or a related sector. You should have strong working knowledge of EU institutions and decision-making processes, and demonstrable experience developing successful proposals, concept notes, and tenders for institutional donors. You should be a strong communicator, fluent in English and at least one additional EU official working language, with the skills to influence and negotiate with a range of audiences. You should have a strong understanding of EU funding mechanisms, compliance requirements, and reporting standards, and a proven track record securing and managing funding from EU institutions. You should be creative, strategic, and diplomatic, with the ability to work effectively autonomously and collaboratively in order to advance MAG’s mission, vision, and values.
Further Information:
This role is based in Belgium, therefore, a pre-existing right to work in Belgium is a requirement and MAG will not be able to sponsor visa applications. Please note that if you have not declared your right to work in Belgium on your application, we will not be able to consider you for this role.
