With the support of the German Federal Foreign Office and in partnership with the Presidential Committee on Small Arms and Light Weapons (PRESCOM), MAG has undertaken numerous Arms Management and Destruction (AMD) activities. 

  • Armoury Storekeepers and Managers Course
  • Nigerian Police Force HQ, 
  • Abuja November 2016 

Following a meeting with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) in October 2016, MAG hosted a two-week training course for 34 NPF armoury storekeepers and managers at their HQ in Abuja, FCT State. During the practical phase of the training, the students completed assessments of NPF armouries, including two in the HQ building, and presented their findings to the group. 
During this period, the NPF also facilitated the undertaking of six risk assessments by MAG’s Technical Field Manager of their armouries in Abuja. This information has been crucial for MAG in developing the 2017 project work plan, with the partnership with NPF growing in strength.

MAG hosted a two-week training course for 29 armoury storekeepers and managers in Owerri, Imo State. Students were from a range of agencies, including the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Nigerian Intelligence Agency (NIA), and the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigerian Army (NA), Nigerian Navy (NN), Nigeria Prison Service (NPS), Nigeria Air Force (NAF) and the Nigerian Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
