MAG London Landmark Half Marathon Terms and Conditions 

To take part in a run or challenge for MAG, you must agree to the terms and conditions below. 

Taking Part 

1. I understand that this event is organised by a third party, not MAG. It is my responsibility to read and comply with the Event Organiser’s terms and conditions. 

2. I confirm that I am medically fit and that I participate in the event at my own risk. MAG will not be held responsible for injury or illness resulting from my participation. 

3. All MAG Participants must be aged 18 or over by the Event Date. 

4. Registration fees are non-refundable, and charity places are non-transferable. The registration fee does not count towards my fundraising target. 

5. If I apply for a charity place, I understand that MAG may need to share limited personal information with the Event Organiser so they can contact me and confirm my registration. Where required, I am responsible for completing the Event Organiser’s registration process. 

6. If I am unable to take part, I will let MAG know and send MAG any money I have raised. 

7. I understand that all travel to the event, accommodation, refreshment costs are mine and no costs will be incurred by MAG.  

Fundraising 

1. I will do my best to raise money for MAG in connection with the event and, if I have accepted a charity place, I will aim to meet the stated fundraising target. I understand that Gift Aid does not count towards this target. 

2. I understand, and will make clear to anyone supporting me, that money sent to MAG will be treated as a donation and used for MAG’s charitable work. Donations are generally non-refundable, even if I withdraw or do not take part in the event. 

3. Any fundraising I do in connection with the event will be for MAG only (if I have a charity place). I will send all donations to MAG by cash, cheque, CAF or an online giving provider no later than four weeks after the event  

4. I will only use lawful methods to raise money for MAG and will not do anything that could damage MAG’s reputation. I will follow the rules below and any additional fundraising requirements MAG gives me. 

• I will not use MAG or any associated logo without first obtaining permission from MAG and will allow MAG to approve any materials produced whether printed or online. 

• I will tell my sponsors that I am raising money “in aid of” MAG. 

• I will not cause MAG to incur any cost, claim, loss or liability. 

• I will contact MAG before holding any raffle, lottery or public event, and I will follow any guidance, insurance or legal requirements MAG gives me. 

• I will get MAG’s approval before approaching the press or any celebrity to support my event. 

• I will obtain any necessary permissions before carrying out street collections or collections on private property. House-to-house collections are not permitted. 

5. I am responsible for keeping safe any money raised in MAG’s name until it has been transferred to MAG. If I collect cash, I will: 

• count it in the presence of at least one witness, record the amount, have the witness sign to confirm it, and send MAG a cheque for that amount. 

Photos 

1. I understand that photography may take place at the event, and I give MAG permission to use photographs, video, quotes or other records of my participation to promote future events in print and online. 

2. If I do not want my photograph taken or used, I should tell MAG so appropriate arrangements can be made. If I later want to withdraw my consent, I should email fundraising@maginternational.org. I understand that MAG will take reasonable steps to honour my request but cannot guarantee the immediate removal of materials already in public circulation.
