Urgent Appeal for Lebanon

The situation in the Middle East continues to deteriorate rapidly and remains critically unstable.

In Lebanon, intense, heavy bombardments are destroying homes, roads, and critical infrastructure, forcing thousands of civilians to flee for the second time in two years – among them, many of our own colleagues.

Currently, our teams have paused operations and are relocating north with their families, leaving behind their homes and most of their possessions.

"FOR TEN YEARS, I WORKED HARD TO BUILD A HOME WITH SWEAT AND HOPE, BRICK BY BRICK, A SANCTUARY FOR MY CHILDREN. BUT THE WAR CAME, TAKING MORE THAN JUST WALLS AND A ROOF; IT TOOK MY DREAMS, LEAVING ME WITH NOTHING BUT THE PAIN OF DISPLACEMENT. A FATHER'S JOURNEY IS NOT JUST TO PROVIDE, BUT TO PROTECT, AND I WORRY FOR MY KIDS ALONG THE WAY. AND NOW, IN THE RUINS OF THE PAST, I WILL REBUILD AGAIN, NOT FROM STONE, BUT FROM THE COURAGE TO CARRY ON."

In every conflict, civilians bear the heaviest burden. Nine out of ten people who are killed or injured are civilians. Children, who never start wars, are often among those who suffer the most. In conflict zones, they account for nearly half of all civilian casualties caused by landmines and unexploded bombs.

Already, we are hearing reports of hundreds killed and injured, and over 90,000 displaced, in Lebanon alone.

Our teams deliver life-saving risk education to help keep families safe from the explosive weapons that now litter their neighbourhoods.

With your support, you can help our teams to deploy as soon as it is safe to do so.

Every penny you give will go directly to our teams in Lebanon at their greatest time of need.
