Our teams in Ukraine are ordinary women and men who, before the war, had ordinary jobs and went about the routine of ordinary life. Each has taken their fear and their anger, and turned it into action to save lives by removing the deadly mines that could kill and maim at any minute.
Leaving behind lives as nurses, bank-tellers, or sales executives, their working day now means putting on a helmet and body armour and deliberately walking into a minefield to locate, isolate and remove landmines, one by one - only to come back the next day and do the same thing.
