About

MAG requires a provider to deliver pre-employment, periodic and ad-hoc medical assessments, and pre-employment and ad hoc psychological assessments, for expatriate and roving staff working in challenging, high-risk, and sometimes remote environments internationally.  

The objectives for this tender process are to: 

  • Identify a qualified supplier who will provide high standards in medical assessment services, adapted to MAG’s operating environment. 
  • Appoint a supplier who will provide excellent value for money and efficient and reliable services. 
  • Ensure that MAG meets organisational duty of care obligations by confirming fitness for role, identifying any health or wellbeing risks, and highlighting reasonable adjustments where needed.  
  • Ensure that our staff are able to perform in their role, and that working with MAG in a challenging environment will not be detrimental to their physical and psychological health. 

The criteria by which this tender will be evaluated are detailed within the tender pack. 

Eligibility requirements
  • Bidders must be legally registered entities with demonstrated experience in delivering medical assessments (physical medical check and psychological resilience) in challenging or low-resource environments. Experience with INGOs or geographically dispersed organisations is considered 
  • Consistent application of assessment criteria, evidence-based fitness decisions, and auditable processes for approvals and certifications. 
  • Availability of in-person assessments and through established network, including coverage in MAG priority countries.   
  • Delivery of services and documentation in English, French, Spanish, and Arabic.
