Programme Support Coordinator – West Africa

Manchester City Centre, adhoc overseas travel required

Starting salary for this position is £31,776 per annum (plus contributory pension)

We are looking for an exceptional Programme Support Coordinator who is fluent French speaking to join our dynamic and successful Programmes team. This is a fantastic opportunity to a join an international charity that shared the 1997 Nobel Peace-Prize.  

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter with experience of developing and supporting programmes, ideally with experience of working with a wide range of institutional donors. Excellent planning and organisational skills are essential, with the ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also essential for this role. Strong spoken French language skills are essential, and written language skills are desireable as well as a fluent level of written English. With excellent project management and interpersonal skills, you will be creative, flexible, solution-focused, professional and committed to MAG's goals. Experience of working overseas would be beneficial.

Experience and understanding of technical issues relating to mine action are not essential for this post; more importantly is your commitment to international humanitarian and capacity building principles. The role will be based in Manchester and will involve regular overseas travel to the West Africa Region.
