Interim Community and Event Fundraiser

Fixed Term, 6 months with possible extension, Manchester City Centre

Starting salary for this position is £25,272 per annum (plus contributory pension)

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual to join our Fundraising Team and drive our community fundraising as part of a wider fundraising campaign. You will work closely with other fundraisers to maximise opportunities and will be responsible for running MAG’s community fundraising programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop an effective community and events fundraising strategy in an international charity and you’ll be supported throughout by our dedicated and knowledgeable Fundraising Team.

Based in our Manchester HQ, this will be a varied and challenging role where you will act as the first point of contact for community-based fundraisers, the public and media. You will recruit new and steward existing community fundraisers to generate unrestricted income for MAG through a programme of communications, events and awareness building activities.

You will have previous experience of working within a community fundraising role and be interested in MAG’s humanitarian mandate. You will be an excellent communicator and team player and be able to develop relationships with supporters. You will also recognise that volunteers can make a real difference to MAG’s success in saving lives and building safer futures. Overall, you will be an outgoing team player, pro-active, determined and keen to help MAG achieve its lifesaving work.
