Start date: as soon as possible
The starting salary package for this position is £63,156 GBP (approx. $78,268 USD) including all allowances.
About the Ecuador programme / Introducción:
ENG : MAG has had a Weapons and Ammunition Management (WAM) programme in Peru since 2017, and in Ecuador since 2020. The programme in Ecuador has successfully established itself as provider of a range of Physical Security and Stockpile Management (PSSM) tools and training to the national security actors and is now expanding.
This will include helping the Ecuadorian capacity to properly store and manage state-held weapons stockpiles and to have the technical expertise and capability to routinely and safely dispose of excess and obsolete weapons. Additionally, this support will mitigate the risk of an unplanned explosion that may threaten or harm the local civilian populace and military personnel. Finally, the Conventional Weapons Destruction (CWD) project will result in more secure stockpiles, thereby eliminating a potential source of weapons for non-state actors and criminal organisations.
