The problem

Across the Middle East, thousands of landmines and unexploded bombs lie ready to maim and kill at any moment. They are often found in and around people’s homes where children live and play.

Every day, 20 people are killed or injured by landmines and unexploded bombs globally. Almost half of civilian casualties are children.

Home should be a safe place for everyone, a sanctuary, not a place surrounded by death, injury and fear.

How MAG is helping

Using highly trained staff and special machinery, MAG teams across the Middle East find and destroy these landmines and unexploded bombs, before a child does.

Only when landmines are cleared from places people live can families and communities thrive.

Impact that saves lives

When landmines are cleared, homes can be homes again, allowing children to grow up in peace and safety. Families no longer live with the crippling fear and grief of losing loved ones.

Land can be used to build homes, roads, schools, hospitals and farms, bringing whole communities back to life.

Double your impact

There has never been a better time to donate to MAG. Give before midnight on 4 July 2019 and all public donations to our Home Safe Home appeal will be doubled by the UK government. Matched funding will help us clear 21,000m² of land from unexploded bombs and landmines in Lebanon, while public donations support our wider work in other conflict-affected communities. Give now to make people’s homes safe again.
