As the largest non-military clearance organisation operating in Vietnam, MAG plays a key role in reducing the risk and impact of landmines and unexploded ordnance on the local population, and also in facilitating post-clearance construction and resettlement.
Summary of October's activities:
- 5,304m2 of land searched; 1,012 items of unexploded ordnance removed.
- Community Liaison teams visited seven villages, conducting 1,384 house-to-house surveys.
- These activities benefited 27,566 people, mainly in remote, marginalised communities.
