What is MAG?

Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is a 501 (c) (3) Nobel Peace Prize winning organization dedicated to saving lives and building futures through the destruction of weapons in conflict affected areas, including landmines, unexploded ordnance, and small arms light weapons.  MAG works closely with at-risk communities to make their lives safer and provide access to water, shelter, and food.

Laos

More than 2 million tons of ordinance were dropped on Laos between 1964 and 1973 as a by-product of the Vietnam war.  MAG has already cleared thousands of unexploded ordnance, but huge amounts of contamination still threaten whole communities.
