Robert & Richard Cycle Lands End to John O Groats

"Well we're just about ready for our trip, the nerves have subsided and given way to excitement.

Richard has been a keen cyclist for years. I personally am more of a hill walker but last year we cycled from Caernarvon to Bristol where we both live. It was a great trip, 240 miles, mostly on the Sustrans route. (We did about five miles on A roads.) We decided back then that we would do the Lands End to John 'O' Groats trip.

I had it in the back of my mind to do it to raise money for MAG. I spent six weeks in Vietnam and Cambodia in 2004 and saw the problems that people face, living with land mines.

I had a great time there and the trip left a lasting impression on me. I met some really great people there and wanted to do something to help.

We've got about three weeks set aside for the trip. The record is something crazy like 48 hours!

Having said that we do intend to enjoy ourselves!

We just want to complete the trip and raise some money and awareness for MAG.Lots of people do it in 10 to 14 days but we're camping, carrying all our own gear and doing something like 1,000 miles.

Please sponsor us

Robert and Richard"
