Regional Operations Manager


Maternity Cover - Fixed Term - 7 Months
Manchester City Centre/ Manchester UK
£41,214 - £46,386 per annum (plus contributory pension)


Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will provide hands-on leadership to MAG's programmes, including direct management of currently two Desk Officers and distance management of four Country Directors across Africa. You will be expected to ensure quality delivery of country operations and compliance of grants and contracts.

The post-holder will contribute to regional strategic approaches, supporting Country Directors in the development and implementation of business plans, including coordinating expansion into new countries and the development and strengthening of donor relationships.

The successful candidate will have excellent project management, business planning and budget management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple activities at the same time. Previous experience of working in a management position within a development/humanitarian organisations is essential.

A thorough knowledge and understanding of human conflict /conflict recovery and development is required as well as an understanding of donor and contractual requirements. You will be a highly motivated, solution-focused and flexible individual, with excellent communication and representation skills.

Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. French language skills are desirable.
