The ‘Angola: journey through change’ photo exhibition has been shown at the European Information Centre ‘Centro de Informação Europeia Jacques Delors’ in Lisbon, Portugal.
The exhibition, set up with support of the European Office for Humanitarian Aid (ECHO), presented the work of MAG photographer Sean Sutton and was derived from the book of the same name which was published with support from EuropeAid earlier this year.

A MAG delegation, including the photographer, gave several presentations to schoolchildren and government representatives, diplomats and the Portuguese media, including Portuguese public television RTP and the national daily Jornal Público who also conducted interviews with Sean.
Carlos Medeiros, Information Coordinator for the Centre said: “This is an important issue for us to understand - especially as it is about Angola, a former Portuguese colony. We have many visits from schools and universities each week and this exhibition will be great for them all to see.”
A similar exhibition by the same photographer and also sponsored by ECHO, was shown in Addis Ababa earlier this year and is currently on display in Luanda, Angola.
MAG would like to thank ECHO and the European Information Centre for supporting this exhibition.
