“I’m representing MAG and Music Beats Mines, and basically what I want
you to do is get together, get your instruments, your pots and pans,
whatever you can, dance, sing and put events on for MAG to support
their lifesaving work. MAG is clearing landmines all over the world,
not just during wartime but after the fact too. We need to get these
communities safe for their children to grow up. So, do what you can do!
Be fierce." P!nk supported MAG during her run of sell-out concerts at the MEN Arena in October, when the four fans above – lucky winners of a competition MAG ran – met her before one of the shows. |

Deccade
“When myself (guitarist Steve) and Chris (lead vocals) first had discussions about starting up Deccade, we decided that we would choose a charity to support. We decided on MAG because knowing that there will always be some kind of war or acts of terrorism going on in the world, innocent people would be the main ones to suffer in the wake.
"We noticed that MAG has made a significant difference to families living in countries like Lebanon, Iraq, Angola and Sri Lanka. We believe that every little bit of support and awareness MAG receives, is a massive help making the world a safer place. We have been inspired by MAG to write a song called Amnesia which within the words, says “saves lives, builds futures”.
"Music is a great way to create awareness for charity, especially when you see the huge success of Live Aid in the '80s and Band Aid. It would be great if more bands were involved in supporting MAG. It costs nothing to support.”
