The Music Beats Mines Online Auction

Thank you to everyone who took part in the MBM Online auction and made some bids for peace - together we raised a wopping £2,608.52 for MAG's lifesaving operations.

Our specials thanks go to the artists and organisations who generously donated items for the auction for which we are very grateful.

Watch this space for more of the same next year.

MAG are giving you the rare chance to bid on some extra special signed merchandise and music memorabilia as part of the Music Beats Mines festival. After twisting some celebrity arms or in some cases just asking politely, we've bagged you some unique treats to keep for yourself or wrap up and give to a special one this Christmas...

Some of the items up for grabs include...

Signed Stones Roses and Radiohead pictures, signed Elbow promo releases, a Simply Red triple platinum disc presentation set of the album ‘A New Flame', tickets to the 2010 Kendal Calling Festival, an hour on the Steinway Grand piano at the Bridgewater Hall and bundles of signed CDs. Signed MAG t-shirts include The Specials, The Enemy, Dizzy Rascal, Calvin Harris, Pink and Bat for Lashes, The Scrips & more...

MBM is a celebration of music, art and poetry, and to reflect that we have some literary treats in our vaults too. Signed books by Clive James, Ruth Padel and David Byrne to name a few. Now get yourself down to Ebay between 27th November and 6th December and make some bids for peace!

Music Beats Mines is a campaign to raise funds and awareness of MAG's lifesaving work across the world. For three months we've been making noise for peace and staging events under the MBM banner. Now we're encouraging people to make some bids for peace and get involved in the online auction running on Ebay between 27th November and 7th December.

A full list of items can be found here

If you still wish to hold an event or you are in a famous band and you're looking to donate all of your gold disks your time hasn't run out. MAG is still looking for people to get involved by strumming, shaking and scratching their various instruments and making some noise for peace.

All the money raised from the Music Beats Mines auction will go towards MAG's lifesaving operations worldwide.
