The three off us are mates (Mike and Joel are Father and Son) who, together with others, ride motorcycles nearly every Sunday morning on a breakfast run, all year round come rain or shine.

Mike and Dom were on a Lads, France run to the Millau Bridge 2 years ago and were talking about Dom's Trans America trip he had joined the previous year and how he was looking at joining a Trans Africa trip. Mike who had travelled extensively in Africa in a Landover during the 70's, thought about this overnight and suggested if we did our own thing, he would be interested in giving it a go, subject to permission at home, of course.

On their return, Mike got his permission and Joel not to miss out made the decision to join us.

It was originally going to be "Home to Capetown" then Mike pointed out that Cape Agulhas was the most southern tip of Africa and then Dom suggested we travel up to the most northern tip of Europe i.e. the Nordkapp and then to the southern tip of Africa. Hence Joel came up with the "Kapp to Cape 08" name.

The planning and organising for this unsupported journey, which we have done ourselves, (unlike certain other celebrities), seemed to have taken forever and the numerous "Hiccups" have all been overcome so far.

We are supporting MAG , "Mines Advisory Group" , who are a charity which help clear  land mines and ordinance throughout various parts of the world including Africa and make a big difference to peoples lives.  To sponsor us please click on the link below and remember to write Kapp to Capp 2008 in the message box so the money goes towards our sponsorship target.

Thank you!
