1. Where does my money go if I’m a member of the public?
Donations from the public are used to reach communities most in need and enable us to respond quickly to emergency situations. These unrestricted funds also provide us with the ability to continue projects where previous funding sources are no longer available or have run out. Where grant funds take time to come about and remain inflexible, public funds have the potential to save lives faster, in new areas, where there is no infrastructure in place - that's why we need them most.

2. Where does my money go if I’m a corporate giver or sponsor?
We prefer these donations to to be used in a similar way to the public funds so we can allocate them to where the need is greatest at any given time. There are also opportunities for the right companies to sponsor specific activities or events.
3. Where does my money go if I’m a government, trust, foundation, charity or other institution?
Contributions from institutions, trusts or foundations are often project or programme-specific and are reported against after each project. These funds make up the bulk of MAG's funds and are a vital part of the global work we do to rid the world of the impact of the remnants of conflict. Ideally, we'd be able to do so much more if we had a better balance between grant-funded projects and public funds.
4. How much does MAG spend on fundraising and advertising?
For our size, MAG spends very little on fundraising and advertising; in any year it is usually less than one per cent of our turnover.
5. Can I get my school involved?

7. What celebrity support does MAG get?
Many famous faces from the worlds of music, sport, TV and film and politics have supported the cause. Out best-known campaigner was Diana Princess of Wales who famously walked through a cleared path in a minefield in Angola with fellow agency the Halo Trust. Other celebrity MAG fans throughout the years include Angelina Jolie, David Ginola, Paul McCartney, Chrissie Hynde, Joanna Lumley and many more.
8. What would really help MAG in future?
There is still a great deal of work to do to rid the world of the dangerous remnants of conflict and we need support from individuals, companies and governments alike to continue making the world a safer place. Giving time, money or organising your own fundraising activity all helps MAG to make a real difference to those whose lives are blighted by conflict.
