IronMAG: Lake District Endurance Challenge

Iron MAG endurance challenge


A huge thank you to all those who took part in the first ever IronMAG: Lake District Endurance Challenge on 3 June 2012. 

Together you've so far raised over £7,000 with more sponsor money coming in.

Set in the spectacular Lake District countryside, the IronMAG challenge saw teams of three compete to be crowned IronMAG champion 2012.






Itinerary

Meeting at the Coniston Boating Centre for an early start, you'll meet fellow teams and be briefed on the day's activities. Times will vary, but the itinerary is anticipated to be as follows:

05:30: Registration and briefing.
06:00: Head out to Lake Coniston for the five-mile canoe leg.
08:30: Return to base. Collect mountain bikes.
09:00: Bike challenge begins. Twenty-five miles of on- and off-road through the glorious Grizedale Forest.
12:30: Lunch!
13:00: Begin ascent of Old Man of Coniston on foot, just over seven miles of hill.
18:00: Return to base; crowning of the IronMAG Champions.
18:00: After a pat on the back, we'll say our goodbyes.
