Peak District Bike Ride 2011

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Peak District cycle ride on Sunday 22 May!

The Peak District Cycle Ride will raise funds for MAG's life-saving work to clear the remnants of conflict for the benefit of communities worldwide.

Sponsorship - Please can all participants make sure that their sponsor money is with MAG by 30 June 2011. You can pay in your sponsorship via cheque or the donate page of the MAG website (just enter your name in the message box). Thank you.



Event details

Start time

 

8.30 - 10.30 start and registration.

Start/Finish location

 

Pavilion Gardens, Buxton.

Parking

 

Pay and display car park situated on the corner of St. John's Road and Burlington Road, £5 for over four hours.  Street parking and other car parks are also available in Buxton.

Train

 

Nearest station is Buxton, only 0.3 miles from the Pavilion Gardens. Check with National Rail Enquiries 08457 48 49 50 for train times.

Routes

 

16, 30 or 55 mile routes available all along quiet roads.

Bikes

 

Most suited to road bikes but please use the bike you are most comfortable on and used to.

Age limit

 

Minimum age is eight, children under 16 must wear a helmet and be accompanied by an adult. There is no maximum age limit.

Cost

 

£20 Adults

£18 for team members (4 or more)

£10 children

This is a charity event and we ask all participants to pledge to aim to raise a minimum sponsorship of £100 for MAG. You can register in person on the day.

     

Once registered MAG will confirm your place in writing along with a fundraising pack including sponsor forms and a splendid MAG t-shirt to wear on the day. 

Sponsorship

This is a sponsored event in aid of MAG; by registering to take part you are committing to aim to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship.  Your entry fee only contributes to running the event safely and does not include a donation to MAG.
