Well, in early November I am off on a rather “steep” challenge! With 38 others, I am cycling just over 250 miles in 5 days through one America’s hottest and most mountainous National Parks, Death Valley, to help raise money for the Mines Advisory Group (MAG).

The challenge involves cycling an average of 50 miles a day through the tough terrain of Death Valley which boasts the world's highest ever recorded temperature at 134F/57C with altitudes ranging from sea level to 5500 ft.
The reason I am doing this is to raise money for a very worthwhile charity that aim’s to make a real difference to everyday life. Who can forget those iconic photographs of the late Princess Diana wearing a flack jacket whilst being briefed on the horrors of landmines/minefields and unexploded ordnance? Every day there are huge numbers of casualties either severely mutilated or killed by unseen, recently laid or even long-forgotten relics of warfare. The money I raise will help to clear the remnants of conflict including landmines and unexploded bombs from some of the world's poorest nations.
I am aiming to raise over £3000 so please help me to support the work of this very important charity by sponsoring me on this challenge.
Please click here to sponsor me and also benefit from gift-aid!
Thank you for all your help.
