International Finance Manager

£30,957 - £33,827 per annum (plus pension scheme)

Based at MAG HQ, Manchester City Centre

Working in a dynamic humanitarian NGO, dealing with communities devastated by the results of conflict, your role as International Finance Manager will be both varied and stimulating. Reporting to the Head of International Finance you will be responsible for managing the overseas finance team on a day-to-day basis and supporting MAG's overseas programmes on all financial issues.

You will have previously worked in an overseas finance role for an international NGO, have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, have staff management experience and a genuine interest in the humanitarian sector. You will assist MAG in meeting its donor requirements by overseeing the production of budgets, financial reports and managing grant audits. You will manage a team of Regional Finance Officers and will be required to successfully develop, and sustain, effective lines of communication between your team and other departments at MAG HQ.

You will need to be able to demonstrate a strong background in internal monthly management reporting and external donor reporting for an international NGO and ideally have experience of major donors like USAID, EC and DFID. You will be committed to producing work of a consistently high standard and will have experience of undertaking reviews of financial processes to ensure that quality standards are met.

You will have a proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team, prioritising its work and your own to meet tight deadlines. A people person you will have the ability to work as part of a HQ team and communicate effectively with MAG's finance managers overseas. You will be creative, flexible, solution-focused, professional and committed to MAG's goals.
