Helen Skydive for MAG

Hello!

Firstly a HUGE thank you for taking the time to visit this page. Hopefully you will sponsor me too!

What am I doing?Helen Bee
I'm planning to throw myself out of a plane from about 10,000ft high (about 2 miles). I'll be strapped to someone who has jumped hundreds of times before (well that's what they've told me...) who will hopefully not have to push me out of the door. I will then hurtle to the ground, cheeks flapping somewhere behind my ears, as we freefall at about 120mph before the parachute opens and we glide gracefully to the ground like a delicate butterfly (I'm hoping I won't be sick!).

When & where am I doing it?
Sunday 2nd September 2007 (weather permitting!) at Black Knights Parachute Centre, Lancaster.

How much do I have to raise?Local person demining with MAG
I have to raise a minimum of £500 - but if I get over £600 I promise to show you any photos/videos of the jump & me looking very silly.

Why am I doing it?
I'm raising money for a charity called MAG - hopefully some of you will know them. If not read below. I fully support what MAG do and I hope through sponsoring me, you can help support them to.

Who are MAG?
MAG (Mines Advisory Group) is one of the world's leading humanitarian organisations providing conflict-affected countries with a real chance for a better future. They clear the remnants of conflict from some of the world's poorest nations, we educate and employ local people and help provide solutions for those trapped by poverty and economic devastation through no fault of their own.

Without MAG other Aid Agencies can't get to certain areas of countries because it is just too dangerous. MAG go first so others can follow.

You can donate money by clicking here and don’t forget to Gift Aid so we get more money back from the tax man.

Thanks again for your support!

Helen
