Gina Does Death Valley for MAG!

250 Miles – 5 Days – 1 Mission

Local person demining with MAGSponsor me as we cycle through the Death Valley Desert.... ...and help create a better future.

•   71 Countries have been contaminated” with mines since World War II
•   0.5 Million mines are laid every year
•   Landmines cost from as little as £1.50
•   Every 20 minutes a landmine claims a victim
•   It will take 1,100 Years to clear mines already in place

Imagine stepping out of your front door and deciding you will walk to the shop today and get a newspaper. Then imagine having to plan your route avoiding grass verges and fields, imagine not being able to walk freely in your own town, for fear that you may stand on a landmine and be injured. For people who live areas where land mines are present this is a reality.

  Gina in the Army

When I was in the Army I saw the impact landmines had on peoples lives. I have witnessed the reality of warfare and want to help people who’s lives have been wrecked by landmines. I have come close to being blown up by landmines myself in Bosnia in 1996 amongst a few!!

  Gina on her bike!

Having only just bought a bike,(hence no pictures of me on a bike) I have a big challenge ahead of myself, however getting fit is the least of it. Please help me raise £3,000 for this worth while charity.

Unless they let me use this one its going to be a hard slog!!

Thank you for your time.

Gina
