Fashion Shows are a wonderful way to showcase up and coming designs as well as raise money for MAG. It is great to have a small group to help coordinate the various aspects of a fashion show; venue, garments, management, music etc.
Postgraduate students from the University of Manchester held a Fashion show on 13th May as part of Fashion MAG. They demonstrated current market trends on the catwalk and the event was followed by a buffet.

University of Manchester Students' Fashion Show
9 students at the University of Manchester put on a fashion show in aid of MAG in December 2009. They booked a local student pub for free, made the catwalk out of newspaper (spreading it out on the floor), they borrowed the clothes from local charity shops, put on a raffle with prizes donated from local businesses, put on a cake stall with cakes baked by volunteers and donated from a bakers, used friends and student volunteers as models, held a face painting stall, and used a friendly DJ who donated his services for free. The night raised over £200 for MAG's clearance operations around the world, which is enough to clear 133 square metres of land. See the photos below.
