BBC Inside Out Northwest

Monday 2 November, 7.30pm

Martin Bell comes out of retirement to present a 10 minute film about MAG – its past achievements, and its future aims. MAG's Technical Support and Quality Manager Phil Halford gives MAG staff and volunteers a demining demonstration, and Martin interviews Lou on his 20 years with MAG.

This programme will also be played live on the BBC’s big screen in Exchange Square in Manchester City Centre.

BBC Inside Out Northeast

Monday 2 November, 7.30pm

The BBC has made a documentary on Lisa French, a survivor of the 7/7 attacks on London, and a big supporter of MAG. The film is about her life since 2005, and how working with MAG has helped her overcome her fears. Lisa was hugely inspired by helping to build houses for landmine victims as part of MAG’s Community Challege Cambodia in March 2009.

BBC Radio Manchester

MAG’s regional information officer in South East Asia Tom Morgan has recorded a radio diary, portions of which will air all week on the BBC’s Manchester radio station.

The BBC has hailed MAG as 'Manchester's best kept secret' in a story celebrating our 20th anniversary.

ITV Granada Reports

Last week Granada broadcasted two short films about MAG and our northwest base. The first is presented by Guy Garvey from Elbow, and talks about MAG’s history and vision. The second features MAG photographer Sean Sutton’s video diary from his recent trip to Lao PDR, the world’s most bombed country, with our Chief Executive Lou McGrath OBE.
