IRAQ: New MAG Iraq HQ opened by US Department of State official

A brand new building for MAG's flagship Iraq programme has been opened by the Team Leader of the US Regional Reconstruction Team (RRT) in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq.

Lucy Tamlyn visited MAG Iraq's headquarters in Erbil today to open the new building.

She met MAG Iraq's staff at the office and, after a brief tour of the new office, posed for a picture with the team.

Country Programme Manager in Iraq Chris Loughran said: "The US Department of State's Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement is the largest donor to MAG's programme in Iraq, and its support has played a central role in MAG's conflict recovery programme in Iraq since 2003.

"We were really grateful to Ms Tamlyn for visiting us and opening our new office, which I'm sure will be better equipped to support MAG's operations and projects here in Iraq."
