7/7 survivor supports MAG

On July 7 2005, Lisa French found herself on the number 30 bus when it exploded in Tavistock Square, London, UK.

Although suffering permanent injuries, she feels fortunate not to have been more seriously hurt. She says, "On that desperate day I saw a completely different side to humanity, true humanity. Strangers, colleagues, friends and family all rallied round and supported and helped me."

In March 2009 Lisa took part in MAG's Community Challenge Cambodia and helped build homes for landmine survivors.  "The people MAG recuit to become deminers are a true inspiration to me," she said. "They are true heroes."
